iOS 15.0.1 Update: Apple releases iOS 15.0.1 update, fixes many bugs on iPhone models – Times of India

Apple has released iOS 15.0.1 today and it is the first official update for the iPhone after the iOS 15 that was released last month. The update is available for all iPhone models launched after 2015 and above iPhone 6S. The update was much awaited as several users were facing various issues in their devices after installing iOS 15. One of the few issues that Apple acknowledged was that the users were not able to use the ‘Unlock with Apple Watch’ feature on the newly launched iPhone 13 series.
After installing iOS 15, users also reported several issues such as wrong storage tabulation, unresponsive touchscreen, non-functional camera, missing key Siri commands, disappearing photos and many others.
“iOS 15.0.1 includes bug fixes for your iPhone including an issue where some users could not unlock iPhone 13 models with Apple Watch.” the message on the Software Update screen read. Apart from this the company says iOS 15.0.1 fixes the bug where the Settings app may incorrectly display an alert that storage is full and Audio meditations could unexpectedly start a workout on Apple Watch for some Fitness+ subscribers. The company also said that it is planning a fix for a Core Animation bug that is preventing few developers from taking full advantage of 120Hz ProMotion displays for their app animations. It is likely that this issue is also solved in the latest iOS update.
First unveiled at WWDC in June, iOS 15 introduced some notable features like redesigned Safari browser, SharPlay, Focus Mode, Live Text, Virtual Look Up and many others. The update also brought in new security and privacy features. Apple has already started beta testing iOS 15.1 to eliminate more bugs. To update your device you can go to Settings> General> Software Update.
