Introducing the Big Nude Boat, a naked cruise where clothing is optional
It’s no secret that we all feel a little more care free on holiday.
It’s why we might think nothing of downing an extra margarita, or embarking on a romance with that sunkissed waiter.
And now, if you really want to leave your inhibitions at home, there’s a cruise that could be perfect you.
It’s time to book your place on the Big Nude Boat.
And yep, it’s exactly what you think it is: a cruise where clothing is optional, and baring all is encouraged.
While the cruise, operated by nude travel company Bare Necessities, has been going for a few years now, their latest offering, which sets sail in February 2024, offers a week-long trip for naked holidaymakers who have limited time for a vacation – but want to squeeze in as much clothing-free fun as possible.
The boat leaves from Florida, before heading to Mexico, and while on board, guests are free to be nude whenever and wherever they like – although must cover up when they head to shore.
You can dine au naturel in one of the ship’s many restaurants, and skinny dip in the pools or hot tubs. And of course, you don’t need a swimming cossie for the water slides either.
Fancy watching a movie under the stars? You don’t need clothes for that. Or you can also spend an evening dancing and singing along to tunes in the nude at the Piano Bar, or taking in a performance at the theatre or comedy club.
But, it’ll cost you a pretty penny to cruise in your birthday suit. Cabin pricing is per person, based on double person occupancy, with the cheapest cabin setting you back $12,000 USD – which is about £916.
Bare Necessities co-founder, Nancy Tiemann, writes on their website that she loves nude cruising because ‘people who are able to leave their clothing behind in a social setting are also more able to check their egos at the door and be themselves, as they really are, rather than who they think others would like them to be.’
Would you dare to bare?
