Insomniac Games Rumored to Be Starting Mocap Work for the PS5 Exclusive Wolverine

Following the success of Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man titles, the PlayStation developers are currently developing their next PS5 IP involving Marvel icon, Wolverine.

While fans are mostly excited for the sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man featuring Miles Morales and Peter Parker, the introduction of Wolverine to the fray is something that fans are quite enthralled about.

The developers had introduced their plans for the character during last year’s PlayStation Showcase, and since then, we haven’t heard much from Insomniac regarding the game’s development.

But recently, fans caught a glimpse of the work being done for the Wolverine PS5 game, thanks to a tweet from Mike Yosh, who is currently working at Insomniac Games as Lead Animator.

The tweet in question from Yosh includes a photo he took from a motion capture stage, which very likely suggests that Insomniac Games will start doing mocap work for the upcoming PS5 title.

With the game announced in 2021, it seems like it would be years before Insomniac Games will release the title for the PS5. Before the release of the Wolverine video game, the developers would most likely be working hard on the Spider-Man sequel, which is why it might be years before we might hear or see more about the title.

However, fans are thrilled to see that the work for the Wolverine title is in full swing, and players can’t wait to see what the developers have in store for them, as the game will be vastly different from the Spider-Man titles. Insomniac Games has revealed that the game will feature a much more mature and darker tone, and players can’t wait to claw some brains with the X-Men legend.
