THERE are some incredible car collections around the globe owned by sports stars, musicians and actors.

But did you know that one of the world’s best collections is right here in the UK? Just outside the M25, near Potters Bar.

OK, so it’s hardly Los Angeles, but you’ll struggle to find a larger and more eclectic mix of cars owned by one person anywhere else.

The person who owns this vast collection is Rodger Dudding.

He is reportedly worth around £160million and has a huge love for anything with an engine.

After inventing a ticket system for queuing in shops back in the day, Rodger’s second and main business became owning and renting out garages.

He started small with a few in Croydon and now owns some 14,000 units across Britain.

Rodger started collecting cars 50 years ago and now has around 450 cars and motorbikes all under one roof.

They’re currently insured for £40million and can be hired for weddings and movies via Rodger’s business Studio 434.

It all started with a 1952 Morris Minor and 1968 Jenson Interceptor, but his collection now includes everything from his oldest, a Vulcan vintage car from the 1911, to the newest – a 2017 Rolls-Royce Wraith.

In between, there are Ferraris, Lamborghini, Bentleys, Alfa Romeos, Maseratis, Jaguars, Land Rovers, Range Rovers and many more besides.

There are so many cars and motorbikes that we’d be here all day listing them.

But one worth mentioning is Rodger’s Aston Martin Lagonda. Well, he doesn’t just have one of them – he has 25.

This marmite, wedge-shaped Aston from the 1980s is very rare and Rodger seems to be going for the full set.

And Rodger will happily store your car for you too. In fact, he currently has a further 300 cars over at Studio 434 belonging to other people.
