Inside the bullet proof survival bunker with night-vision and drone system
WELCOME to the portable bunker that’s designed to keep you safe from natural catastrophes – and doomsday disasters.
American off-road trailer-maker Mammoth Overland has unveiled its brand new fortress that is engineered to withstand some of the harshest of conditions known to man.
While it’s ready to be deployed in a zombie apocalypse, it’s also prepared for other – more likely – circumstances, such as a wildfire and flooding.
Mammoth Overland’s ELE Trailer is the perfect size for a swift step change between city-living and an apocalypse-induced off-grid lifestyle.
The limited-edition ELE Trailer is set to be available toward the end of 2023 at a starting price of $67,000 (£54,000).
The towable survival bunker has a double-walled aerospace-grade aluminium body and submarine-style pressure doors.

These combined make the trailer airtight to prevent contaminated air or smoke from getting inside.
But it also doesn’t leave you gasping for fresh air, thanks to its medical-grade air filtration system.
The air filter is capable of completely purifying the interior air in less than three minutes and can sustain occupants for up to 6 months with clean air.
Your water needs are also covered.
The bunker has an 83-litre water tank onboard with its own filtration system.
While there is also a steady power supply via the trailer’s 100-Ah smart lithium battery and 100-W solar panels.
This means – apocalypse or not – you’ll be able to use the 32-inch TV, as well as the fold-out kitchen and burner stove.
There is also a mural inside the cabin which can help remind you of the outside world, beyond watching the in-built surveillance on the telly.
Beyond the lifestyle niceties, the ELE Trailer also boasts advanced surveillance capabilities.
It has been kitted out with a Starlink internet and a night-vision camera on the roof, which delivers a hawk-eyed feed to the onboard telly.
There’s also a drone launch system, as well as an option to upgrade the trailer to be bulletproof – for an additional cost.
For those in bear country, the trailer has a bear spray system at the front of the trailer and a switch inside the cabin to trigger a powerful mist to be sprayed around the outside to deter the attacking bear or any other potential threat.
