Inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first Halloween

The royal went on to say: “We went to this Halloween party together.

“We could be dressed up and no one would know. Bandana and goggles.”

Meghan said: “You borrowed a great costume.” Adding: “And we were like, ‘Well, this might be our last shot to just go out and have fun.”

Prince Harry added: “Pull the pin on the fun grenade – which we did.”

The couple had a night out with Prince Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her then-boyfriend Jack Brooksbank as well as their friend Marcus.

Meghan said: “It was so great. Just silly fun.” She also previously admitted how the Halloween party had a post-apocalyptic theme involving lots of camouflage and masks.

It’s clear Halloween is still very much a memorable time for the couple, who previously shared a tender post on their now-defunct Sussex Royal Instagram account.

In the image from 2019, which marked their son Archie’s first experience of spooky season, the caption read: “Happy Halloween! ‘Wishing you all a safe and fun Halloween from our family (and our little pumpkin) to yours!'”

More recently, Meghan also opened up on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2021 about their Halloween family fun.

She revealed how Archie only seemed to stay in his dinosaur costume for “five minutes”, while their daughter Lilibet was wearing a skunk outfit like the character of Flower from Bambi.

Given how much more widely Halloween is celebrated Stateside, the couple and their family could once again be donning outfits to go out trick or treating incognito much like during the early days of their romance.
