Inside Beyoncé’s mum’s harrowing $1m robbery ordeal and message of resilience

Despite facing a terrifying ordeal, Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles-Lawson has shared a message of hope and resilience.

Last Wednesday it was revealed she’d lost $1million worth of cash and jewellery to a home robbery and an investigation is underway.

The 69-year-old shared a short clip of herself with her 3.8 million followers, explaining in the caption that she had originally sent the video to her niece to give her some motivation months ago.

In the clip, the fashionista sat with her phone out infront of her looking stunned at the screen before staring directly into the camera saying: “Oh god, people can be so negative Nia! But you know what? I’m going to release this…”

As her daughter’s hit song Break My Soul began to play, the 69-year-old plastered on a grin and began to dance.

In the caption, Tina continued her message of resilience in the face of negativity saying: “I needed to see this old post myself today!! I refuse to let anything break my soul! I will live my life to the fullest! I will continue to treat people the way I want to be treated!

“I will be as happy and healthy as God intends for me! I will always put God first. I will learn from my mistakes and I will continue to be an optimist! Above all I will not let anyone Break My Soul. How about you?”

Last Wednesday morning, thieves allegedly broke into the home of lauded fashion designer’s and made away with the 69-year-old’s safe, containing various items of jewellery and cash all reported to be worth around $1million according to Yahoo News.

Tina was thankfully out of town at the time but a member of the Knowles-Lawson team went to the home shortly after the robbery took place just to check up on the Los Angeles property when they made the devastating discovery.

The police are currently investigating the high-value robbery although they reportedly do not have any leads as of yet and are stumped as to what was used to remove the safe.

Law enforcement is believed to be working with the designer’s neighbours to find and analyse any available CCTV footage.

Tragically, this isn’t the first time Tina has faced unwelcome house guests after a man was reportedly arrested in April for causing a disturbance in the neighbour by allegedly throwing rocks at her mailbox according to TMZ.

While Beyonce has been forced to support her mother from afar as she continues her world tour, Tina is still every bit a doting mother as just yesterday she shared a new clip her daughter performing, gushing over her outfit.
