Indian and Pakistan Cricket Legends Harbhajan Singh and Inzamam-ul-Haq Will Felicitate World Esports Cup Winners Today

Following a blockbuster end to the 2021 iteration of South East Asia’s premier tri-nation esports tournament in the World Esports Cup (WEC), three superstars from the world of cricket and Bollywood will grace the virtual award ceremony which will take place today.

From the world of cricket, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh and Pakistan batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq will give out the prizes for the top teams that competed in the recent tournament.

Along with that, celebrated Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala will also joining be them to form a trio of stars that fans from India, Pakistan and Nepal have adored over the years.

The virtual awards ceremony will take place at 1 PM today, and it will be streamed live on the India Today Gaming YouTube channel.

The 2021 edition of the WEC saw competitors from India, Pakistan and Nepal battle it out on Garena’s Free Fire for a stake in the massive Rs. 75 lakh prize pool.

The tournament which began on November 25, saw teams from the three nations fight tooth and nail, with many squads showcasing their talents with brilliant strategies and gameplay that wowed fans, who tuned in to see the action.

The three-month long event saw many thrills and exciting moments with the tri-nation tournament bringing in over 130 million viewers during this stretch.

After some intense battles, India took home most of the prizes with squads taking the top four positions on the table followed by Nepal and Pakistan in fifth and sixth, respectively.

Former Batsman Inzaman-ul-Haq showcased his excitement for the Esports tournament, especially because of the rivalry that forms between India and Pakistan, just like the way he witnessed it in cricket.

Bowling legend Harbhajan Singh also talked about how competitive the world of Esports has become, and he noted how players should continue to work harder in order to be the best in future tournaments,
