GDS 5th Merit List: The Gramin Dak Sevak 5th Merit List has been released by the India Post on its official website – https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. To check your status, you will need your roll number and date of birth. The merit list includes information such as the state, district, post office, roll number, and rank.
If your name appears in the 5th merit list, you will have to undergo the Document Verification (DV) process. The DV will take place at the post office mentioned in the merit list. Make sure to bring the following documents: original mark sheets of 10th and 12th standard, transfer certificate, character certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and passport-size photographs.

The selection of applicants is subject to the verification of original documents by the chosen Verifying Authority at the time of application. This verification process is further subjected to verification by the Engaging Authority, which differs for BPM and ABPM positions.
Upon the declaration of the result, shortlisted applicants will receive SMS/email notifications regarding the dates for the physical verification of documents. The offer of provisional engagement will be issued through the system itself, and the applicant must approach the designated Engaging Authorities within 15 days. The Engaging Authority will verify the documents, and upon successful verification, the candidate will undergo pre-engagement formalities and training. In case of unsuccessful verification, the candidature will be cancelled.
