Incredible Travelodge where even royalty stayed and rooms start from £39
YOU could spend the night in the Travelodge where even royalty stayed.
The Travelodge ‘Regent Hotel‘ received royal approval as Queen Victoria stayed in that very hotel in 1830.
She stayed in room 107 and used room 108 as her dressing room.
The hotel is located in Leamington Spa, in Warwickshire, Midlands, and has excellent transport links.
The hotel is a grade II listed hotel, and you can still see the stained glass window at the top of the wooden staircase.
Grade II buildings are of special interest, and special precautions are taken to preserve them.
That being said, the Regent Hotel Leamington Spa has been refurbished inside, with the new bedroom featuring a king-size Travelodge Dreamer bed with bedside USB charging points, a desk and blackout curtains.
The rooms also come with tea and coffee makers and hair and body wash in the toilets.
Rooms start from £39 per night this year, with the lowest prices available during weekdays.
There are standard rooms, family rooms, double twin rooms and some accessible rooms available at the property.
The hotel is rated number one in the area on TripAdvisor, with a score of 4/5 stars and almost 1,000 reviews.
The Regent Hotel is right in the heart of the action, and gorgeous Georgian and Victorian buildings surround it.
You’ll also find the Jephson Gardens – which are one of the town’s most popular places to visit – with 14.6 acres and even has a boating lake.
You’ll also find the gallery, museum, library and café housed in the Royal Pump Rooms.
The town is filled with activities and sights to see – you could walk the free ‘Leamington Street Art Trail’ and see all the work made by Brink Contemporary Arts as part of the Leamington Mural Festival.
The local council also organises free ‘local history walks’ during the summer.
The guided tours last about an hour and a half and are limited to 10 people, so you’ll have to book your free spot in advance.
Royal Leamington Spa was also named ‘best place to live’ in the Midlands this year.
This summer, you could even have a snoop around the King’s house for £30.
For more unique experiences, we found the UK party house with its own nightclub, hot tubs and games room.
And the incredible UK beach with golden sands and clear blue sea that people can’t believe isn’t abroad.
