Known as myfinancescrapbook, she captioned the video: “Get paid to move abroad.”

In the video, she showed images of the exotic locations while she described the incentive that each destination was offering.

She said: “These three countries will literally pay you to move abroad and the last one is my favourite.

“The first place is in Albinen in Switzerland. They’ll pay a family of four up to £50,000 just because they have a declining population.

“Second place is Presicce in Italy [where] they’ll pay you up to £25,000 because they have an ageing population.

“The final place is the Greek Island of Antikythera.

“This beautiful island currently has about 50 people living there, so if you decide to move there, they’ll give you a house, a piece of land, and about £500 a month for three years.”

There are a few catches to all of the destinations though.

To be eligible for the Albinen move, you have to be under the age of 45 and a Swiss citizens, or have lived in the country for 10 years straight.

The house you choose to live in also has to meet certain regulations.

Your home in the village would have to be worth at least £180,000, and once applicants of the scheme relocate to Albinen must stay there for 10 years.

Those who relocate to the village will be expected to learn the German language as well.

If you decide to move away, you have to pay back the money you were paid to move there.

But the village is dreamy – boasting gorgeous views of the alps, lots of sunshine and crisp mountain air.

The location is ideal for those who love to ski, as its in close proximity to winter resorts.

Meanwhile, the town of Presicce, in south-east Italy, is coaxing visitors in to try and welcome diversity and brand new faces.

Local councillor Alfredo Palese said: “There are many empty homes in the historical center built before 1991 which we would like to see alive again with new residents.”

Presicce is commonly named the “city of green gold” after the luxurious extra virgin olive oil it produces from its top-class olive groves.

The average home in the area costs roughly £21,000 and the £25,000 grant would go partly into buying a property and partly into the renovation.

To qualify, you’d need to agree to become a full time resident and buy one of the properties built before 1991.

Finally, in 2019, the island of Antikythera announced it was looking for young families to join the community as the population slowly dropped from over 300 people at the beginning of the 20th century.

The scheme was sponsored by the Greek Orthodox Church, who said they would pay the stipend for three years.

Greek families were offered priority, but the opportunity was also open to other nationalities.

As it has now been five years since the scheme was announced, it is not clear whether the grants are still available and there is no mention of the scheme on the local government website.

Of course, these aren’t the only places that are paying people to move there.

A number of countries have schemes with grants and incentives to encourage people to move there, normally due to dwindling populations.

Some of the schemes include cheap houses – such as Italy’s €1 houses or Croatia’s 11p options – while others include a monthly grant to remote work there.

If you fancy starting up a business abroad, Ireland, Mauritius, and Chile all have programmes offering grants up to £40,000 to help you get your feet off the ground.

One couple recently bought an Italian townhouse at auction with  1 and transformed it into an amazing holiday home.
