‘Impressive’: Strictly’s John & Johannes have the ‘perfect chemistry’ to ‘power to a win’
Strictly Come Dancing aired on BBC last night for a night of move-inspired performances. Body language expert Judi James analysed the dances of some couples including Giovanni and Rose, Nancy and Rhys and John and Johannes.
She told Express.co.uk: “Having mock-flirted his way through the last Strictly with a very besotted-looking Ranvir it’s now making compulsive viewing to see Giovanni getting what looks like his comeuppance with Rose.
“She appears to be having none of it in terms of the sloppy stuff during rehearsals, telling us ‘I’m going to have to act like I’m in love with him’ before pulling some hilariously exaggerated kissy faces at Gio.
“Their relationship during practice sessions looks lively rather than lustful, with a very feisty Rose giving as good as she gets.
“This all translated into the most beautiful performance of the night though, with Rose turning on her acting skills when it counted out there on the floor and registering really touching signals of romance for their Titanic number.
The duo danced to Spiderman Main Theme from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Commenting on their performance, Judi explained: “This is another electric and complex relationship that achieved pay-off this week.
“Rhys is a bouncy castle of relentless energy, leaping about so much even after his hectic dance that he appeared to kick Nancy with his leg on the way to the staircase.
“He also loves to talk endlessly and for Nancy it appears to be a challenge to harness all that hyper-activity and focus it into a skilled performance.
“Nancy has looked tough and determined from week one though and in this Spiderman routine we got to see Rhys’s full potential.
“She seems to be very good at letting him take off but then reeling him back firmly when it counts.
“I’m not sure the more romantic dances will be their forte but the ones requiring speed and maximum energy certainly will be.”
