I’m plus-size and can’t fit on Ryanair planes – it’s their fault not mine

A PLUS size traveller has revealed what it is like to travel – and has said it is the airline’s fault for being so small.

Kirsty Leanne, 29, from Shropshire, often shared her experience flying as a plus-size passenger.

In one of her latest videos on TikTok, she shared her experience titled: “Flying Ryanair while plus size.”

She wrote: “Findng out what seat I have been assigned at random – middle seat.”

“Very little leg room but doable for 1.5 flight.”

She also said “bad b****** ask for seatbelt extenders.”

Thankfully she said the aisle seat was free so she moved over and put the armrest down.

However, the tray table and bathroom are where the problems started.

Kirsty continued: “The tray table was a big fat no. I tried.

“Bathrooms were also a no go – I ended up not using it in the end and waiting until I got to the airport.”

Plane toilets have become much smaller, with people back in 2018 claiming they couldn’t fit in them if they were too tall as well.

While some people sympathised with Kirsty, lots of people didn’t agree, saying it wasn’t Ryanair’s fault.

She later responded: “I do think airlines should do more to be accessible for plus size people. That doesn’t mean I’m blaming them for me being fat.

It isn’t the first video she has posted, as she often shares her experience travelling while plus size.

She previously said: “I travel regularly and flying is definitely one of the most stressful parts of travelling while fat.

“Choosing a comfortable seat, asking for a seatbelt extender, tray tables not going down, small bathrooms are all things we have to worry about when we travel and so I wanted to show people that they’re not alone.”

Back in 2019, a man sparked debate after he charged an obese plane passenger £100 for taking up some of his seat on a flight.
