What does the flashing white light mean on Ring doorbell?

If you see the white light flashing on the top of the circle button this indicates a failed set up.

It means the password is incorrect.

This could happen if someone has changed the Wi-Fi password – or if you’ve replaced your broadband hub.

Without an internet connection to your Ring doorbell you can’t monitor who’s outside your house.

If you find yourself in this situation, you’ll need to go into the Ring app and reset each device’s connection.

You can do this by opening the app, selecting each device and going to Device Health.

Tap Change Network.

If you see the white light flashing on the right it means there was an error connecting during set up.

And should the white light flash on the left, it suggests the set up didn’t work for a reason other than incorrect password or Ring network access point.

The best way to solve any of these issues is through the Ring app.

It’ll guide you on how to fix things.

And if all else fails, it might be worth resetting the device entirely and adding it onto the app again as if it were new.
