I’m a paramedic – I’m sick of people using my ambulance-only parking spaces

A FRUSTRATED ambulance driver has taken to the internet to describe the shoddy parking at a hospital.

They uploaded a picture of the hospital car park showing six cars parked in bays reserved for ambulances.

Reddit user Jonesykins uploaded the picture with the caption: ‘People parking their cars in the ‘Ambulance Only’ bays.’

They went on to explain how they have taken matters into their own hands, saying: ‘I had to block the Drop-Off bays to pick up my patient.’

Down in the comments, the ambulance driver gives more information on the extent of the problem.

They said: “Almost an everyday occurrence at this hospital, which has nearly 1000 parking spaces spread over 8 car parks.

“The white car on the end on the right pulled in as I came in, I asked them if they could move so I can park my ambulance there and they start shouting at me…”

The pictured parking bays are numbered one to six and are clearly marked with a large ‘ambulance’ sign on the Tarmac.

Every single bay of the six is taken up by a car, including the white Toyota Aygo, the driver of which shouted at the ambulance driver.

People were quick to come to the defence of the Reddit poster in the comments below.

Once said: “Have a towing company come by daily. They would make so much money off these idiots.”

Another said: “If they stopped for a minute, and looked, and thought about, then you can figure it out.

“But that’s the problem, most people can’t be bothered with stopping for a minute, to figure it out.”

Somebody else commented: “*ssholes who do this, need to have their cars crushed.”
