Sharing her advice in a TikTok video, she told her followers: “No countertops? Use your ironing board as added space.”

She then showed the fully extended ironing board next to the kitchen sink, where she put more of her make up.

The video has been liked more than 155,000 times and social media users loved the travel hacks.

Many said they were “genius” and would be trying them out for themselves next time they travelled.

One person added their own advice, saying: “But please put away the iron board! Don’t just leave it for housekeeping to put away.”

Ironing boards could also be used as a dining table according to another video, if your hotel room doesn’t have one, or even a desk if working on the road.

Rachel revealed other handy hotel tricks in the video as well.

She explained how to get wrinkles out of your clothes – by putting them in the shower – and turning the bathroom sink into an ice bucket to keep your food cold.

Rachel also advises putting the remote in a clear plastic bag, due to the germs it carries.

In one of her videos, she revealed the sneaky way she and her husband get extra perks while travelling.

She revealed it is all about what you wear – as they both wear a t-shirt suggesting they are travelling for their honeymoon.
