Iloilo lass crowned Miss Teen International Philippines 2022
MANILA, Philippines — Angel Jed Latorre from Iloilo bested 14 other aspirants for the 2022 Miss Teen International Philippines title in ceremonies staged at Tanghalang Pasigueño in Pasig City on Nov. 12.
With her title, the Ilonga teen now carries the responsibility of representing the Philippines in the next edition of the Miss Teen International pageant. The global tilt is based in India, and the competition is staged in the South Asian nation every year.
Settling for the first runner-up spot was Meredith Brena Anota from Taguig City, while Ancient Ramoness Trinity Tabora from Bulacan was second runner-up.
Regine Gonzales from Quezon Province and Maria Socorro Aspe from Albay were third and fourth runners-up respectively.
Last staged live in 2019, the Miss Teen International Philippines pageant this year recognizes how teenagers’ experiences have changed compared to how the youth went about their lives before the pandemic. And the organization offered the beauty contest platform for young Filipino women to express themselves, share their talents, and impart their thoughts, things that the pandemic restrictions have prevented them from doing.
The organization, headed by national director Charlotte Dianco, will also proclaim additional representatives who will carry the country in the Miss Teen Earth, Miss Teen World, Miss Teen Model International, and Miss Teen Model Universe pageants.
The additional titles were not awarded during the coronation program, and will instead be bestowed on the chosen recipients in a separate occasion. EDV
