Illegal approach to Test star during Aussie series
Indian superstar Mohammed Siraj has revealed a dodgy approach from a punter during a series against Australia this year.
The incident happened during the one-day international series, which the Aussies won 2-1 after a Test series on the subcontinent.
“It wasn’t a bookie who approached Siraj,” a BCCI source told ESPN.

“It is a driver from Hyderabad who is addicted to betting on matches.
“He had lost huge money, and approached Siraj for inside information.
“Siraj reported the approach immediately. The law enforcement authorities have nabbed the man. More details are being awaited.”
Professional players are required to report any corrupt approach, whether it be for information or offering money to fix matches.
Siraj, 29, played all three of the ODIs against Australia in March, taking five wickets for the series.
He played three of the four Tests against the Aussies prior to that, but struggled for wickets as spinners dominated.
