IIMC Orientation Program 2022: Media students to get career advice from industry leaders – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Media Communication Advertising and Public Relations students will get career guidance from several industry leaders at the commencement ceremony to be organized by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication from November 21-25. The live telecast of the event can be seen on IIMC‘s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Indian journalism had a golden period before independence. Journalists of that time were investigators as well as investors. With limited resources, they created the Golden Age, which we still study today. In today’s era of technology and artificial intelligence, can easily do a lot and create a new golden age. This is said by Harivansh Narayan Singh, Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha, who was giving career advice to the new students of the institute during the commencement program of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IISc) Delhi in the context of Amritkal Sankalp and media subject.
Career guidance will be given to media, communication, advertising and public relations students by top industry leaders in this orientation program being organized by IIMC from 21st to 25th November, this time as a part of this function held at the beginning of the new session every year.
Coordinator and Dean (Student Welfare) of IIMC, Prof. Sharing the information, Pramod Kumar said that among the industry leaders who will participate in this session being organized by the institute, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Mr. Anurag Thakur, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan, Minister of State for Skill Development, Electronics & Technology, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Information Commissioner, Government of India, Shri Uday Mahurkar, Vice Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha, Prof. Rajneesh Shukla, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University Prof. Nageswara Rao, Padma Shri awardee senior journalist Mr. Alok Mehta and renowned folk singer Mrs. Malini Awasthi, who will guide the students.
