IIM Raipur holds 12th Convocation ceremony – Times of India

RAIPUR: As the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur organised its 12th Convocation ceremony on Monday, 17 student exchange graduates, 233 Post Graduate Programme, 21 PGPMWE graduates, 172 ePGP graduates, and two Executive Fellow Programmes in Management received their convocation degrees and medals. The convocation ceremony celebrated the achievements of graduating students who have completed their degree programs and are ready to enter the workforce.
IIM Raipur’s convocation ceremony saw gold medals being awarded for scholastic performance. Among the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) students, Aditi Joshi received the BOG Chairperson’s Gold Medal, Karambelkar Shweta Rahul received the Director’s Gold Medal, Ayush Kumar received the PGP Chairperson’s medal and Harshit Jain received the medal for best overall performance.
Amongst the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) students, Shiwesh Kumar received the BOG Chairperson’s Gold Medal, Richa Kumari received the Director’s Gold Medal and Advitya Patni received the PGP Chairperson’s medal for their scholastic performance.
National Stock Exchange of India managing director and chief executive officer Ashish Kumar Chauhan was the chief guest while IIM Raipur Board of Governors chairperson Shrimati Shyamala Gopinath chaired.
In his welcome address, IIM Raipur director Professor Ram Kumar Kakani delivered inspiring messages to graduates, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and positively impact their communities.
Shyamala Gopinath advised the graduates to adopt a strong work ethic as they move forward. She urged the students to contribute towards creating a positive and healthy work environment where diversity of thoughts, ideas, and opinions is accepted, valued, and welcomed. She also encouraged the students to always keep learning with dedication, consistency, and sincerity.
Chauhan encouraged graduating students to draw from India’s traditional knowledge and strive to find innovative solutions to the societal challenges of our times. He highlighted India’s achievements in light of the challenging pandemic times and inspired students to build the same level of resilience and proficiency in their corporate journeys.
