If this song is any indication, the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 soundtrack will be a banger

I mean, good songs are kind of the norm in this series

So far, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is putting its best foot forward. We’ll see how it fares come July, but for now, I’m pretty happy with what Nintendo is showing off. And that includes this new beautiful Xenoblade Chronicles 3 song called “A Life Sent On.”

Shared by way of the Nintendo UK Twitter account, the track is described as a “somber flute-based melody,” which is played by “off-seers” in the universe (specifically Noah and Mio) to mourn people who have fallen in battle. Based on the small amount of lore we have, off-seers are tasked with some sort of guidance for a facet of the afterlife, and could potentially play a larger role in the narrative.

For now, I’ve listened to this particular Xenoblade Chronicles 3 song a bunch of times now (even when writing this!) and it’s giving me extremely good vibes for how the game will turn out. Aesthetically it seems to be nailing everything it needs to, as that’s arguably been one of the stronger points of the series from the start: outdoing other similar games on the same hardware.

Hopefully we get even more quality of life upgrades and a killer story. There’s a lot to improve upon in the second core game mechanically.
