RAIPUR: A two-day IEEE International Women in Engineering (WIE) Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering 2022 (IEEE WIECON-ECE 2022)” is being jointly organized by IEEE Bangladesh Section and IEEE Madhya Pradesh Section in collaboration with their WIE Affinity Groups. The conference is being hosted by the International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR) on Friday and Saturday in hybrid mode.
The conference had two pre-conference tutorials on Thursday. The first tutorial was held at IIIT Naya Raipur on Digital Literacy of Women in Chhattisgarh for school girls and females in Chhattisgarh, to spread digital literacy to save themselves from various online frauds. Dr Harold D’Costa, President, Cyber Security Corporation and CEO, Intelligent Quotient Security System, delivered the tutorial.
He said that online scams like fake quizzes for extracting the personal data, fake online friends to get money and other benefits, money flipping scam, fake job offers etc. have increased crimes against females. Hence, digital education is mandatory for girls for their safety. He further added that women need to take proactive steps to protect themselves online by using strong passwords, avoiding clicking on suspicious links, being aware of phishing scams, and using two-factor authentication.
The second tutorial was held at Kalinga University Raipur on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), and Data Science in Healthcare: Application and Use Cases, by Prof Mayuri Mehta, Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology (SCET), Gujarat. Prof Mehta emphasized the applications and use cases of AI and Data Science in healthcare. AI and Data Science are helping to revolutionize the healthcare industry.
By leveraging AI technologies such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, healthcare providers can better diagnose and treat diseases, improve patient outcomes, and increase efficiency throughout the healthcare system. AI and Data Science can help to detect diseases earlier and more accurately, reduce medical errors, improve medical image analysis, and create more personalized treatments.
