Iceland launches lasagne filled Yorkshire pudding and people have opinions
Like Marmite, you’ll either love or hate this.
Iceland has merged two unlikely food items – Yorkshire puddings and lasagne – in one oh-so-controversial dish that’s raised eyebrows among customers.
That’s right, you can now buy a large pud with the meaty filling inside, for £4.
This isn’t the first time Iceland has meddled with Yorkshire puddings, with the supermarket previously launching a chicken tikka version.
Online, Iceland described the latest creation as: ‘Cooked Yorkshire pudding filled with minced beef ragu with cooked diced smoked bacon, layered between cooked egg pasta, topped with cheese sauce and sprinkled with a mix of toasted breadcrumbs and diced mozzarella and Cheddar cheese.’
The new meal has caught the attention of those on social media – and the verdicts are mixed.
One shopper said: ‘Just read that Iceland are doing a LASAGNE FILLED YORKSHIRE PUDDING and I WANT IT!’
However, one person called it a ‘ridiculous invention’ another said it was ‘not exactly fine dining’.
Someone else added: ‘I made my own last year and unfortunately. yorky puds and lasagne just don’t go together.’
The Twisted Lasagne Filled Yorkshire Pudding takes 45 minutes to cook and doesn’t need any prep once out of the packaging.
At least it’s an easy meal, right?
