Solskjaer is under mounting pressure at Old Trafford following comprehensive defeats to arch-rivals Liverpool and Manchester City in recent weeks, picking up just four points in their league six league games.
Latest reports suggest the Norwegian will be in charge after the international break for the game against Watford, with no managerial change imminent.
But the manager remains under intense scrutiny with former defender Rio Ferdinand among those calling for a change.
Arsenal legend Wright is in agreement, insisting Solskjaer has reached the limits of what he can accomplish at his old club.
‘Every pundit is seeing and saying the same thing, no direction, no coordination, no structure with great players,’ Wright told Wrighty’s House.
‘If they get it right in situations, they are going to beat teams. But anyone who is organised against Man United, like we saw at Leicester, like we saw Liverpool do at a canter, you’ll cause them a massive problem.
‘And that is happening simply because the manager has got to his level.
‘I’m looking at ex-Man United players, Rio [Ferdinand], Roy Keane, now we are starting to hear stuff, they cannot wait to say this player is not good enough, that player is not good enough. We say it flippantly. But this manager has reached his level.’
Wright pointed out Chelsea’s decision to part company with Frank Lampard last January during their poor run of form, appointing Thomas Tuchel who led them to the Champions League the same season.
‘I have to keep going back to what Chelsea did with Frank, their great legend,’ Wright said.
‘This is the this with [Roman] Abramovich, he doesn’t care. If it is not working how he thinks it should be working, they are out.’
