I went shopping on Prime Day and these are the beauty deals that are worth it
Big sale events can be overwhelming, so it’s worth noting which deals are better value for money than others.
With Amazon’s huge two-day Prime Day event ending at midnight, time is running out to shop the best deals.
Although there are thousands of items discounted, it can be difficult to know which deals are actually good value for money.
As a beauty lover, I spent hours trawling through the site to search for the best beauty and haircare deals and found everything from makeup and fragrance to cleansing devices with huge discounts.
While it’s tricky not to over-buy when it comes to limited-time sales like Prime Day, the most cost-effective way to approach the sale is by using it to stock up on beauty favourites or products that need replacing in your routine, to save money later down the line.
When determining whether an item is a good deal or not, the main thing I looked for was discount percentage, but it’s also worth noting that every deal has a ‘non-deal price’ which is available to anyone – this could also be similar to the price the deal will return to after Prime Day.
It can also be useful to consider comparing prices against other retailers, as often deals will be matched outside of Amazon.
The best deals I found are discounted by over 50 percent and have high ratings, including top brands such as Foreo and Elizabeth Arden.
One of the biggest savings is on the Vera Wang Princess Eau de Toilette, which would usually set shoppers back by £60 but costs just £20 in the sale,
The scent is fruity and floral with notes of amber and vanilla in a pretty, feminine bottle.
Known to be loved by celebrities and royalty, the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant holds a royal warrant and can be used in so many different ways.
Ideal for moisturising the skin, taming hair and brows and calming irritation, the multi-use product has been slashed from £28 to £13.36.
