‘I told my husband I’m pregnant by putting test in icecream – but he retched’

Jasmine Chiswell, who lives in Los Angeles, California, documented the unique pregnancy reveal on TikTok after her test came back positive.

The clip shows her preparing a sundae while a caption on-screen reads: “The sweetest but maybe the most gross pregnancy surprise.”

The expectant mother records herself filling a small cup with chocolate particles, sliced strawberries, and lashings of ice cream before a pregnancy test is buried in its center.

Jasmine then walks over to her husband Maverick and hands over the sweet treat, which he humorously points out “looks terrible”.

“It’s extra sweet and [we] put a nice little new extra surprise in there for you,” Jasmine tells her partner.

“That makes me not want to eat it, what the hell is in there?” Maverick answers.

Nonetheless, he starts digging into the treat suspiciously, crying out that he’s “scared” moments before spotting the foreign object.

“What the f*** is this?” he barks, pulling out the stick-like object from the sundae and wiping off the residual cream with his mouth, moments before the penny drops.

As soon as he realises he’s holding a pregnancy test he starts retching, but eventually breaks into a smile and says: “Well at least you’re pregnant.”

The viral clip has racked up more than 8.5 million views in just four days, with many viewers sharing their concerns over Maverick’s welfare.

“Congratulations, but why in his food?” asked one confused viewer, while another pointed out: “Would have at least wrapped it in cling film to protect the ice cream.”

“Hillarious but I think my husband would be mad – I just couldn’t,” said another.

Further down in the comments, one commentator pointed out that Jasmine herself had admitted the prank was fake, explaining “She said in a comment that it was a new one that she drew the line on. It’s NOT a USED one.”
