I rent out £350k ‘Fast & Furious’ supercars – here’s who I won’t let hire them

A CAR hire boss has lifted the lid on renting out supercars for weddings – and revealed who is on the banned list.

Kad Saleem has a fleet of Fast and Furious-style motors at his company Birmingham Car Hire.

Those looking to go all-out for a special occasion can choose from Lamborghinis, Audi Q8s, Range Rovers SVRs and a Mercedes AMG GT.

But Kad has revealed there is one group who aren’t allowed to rent a flashy motor for their big day.

He told Birmingham Live: “The moment they phone me, I will ask how old they are and how long they have been driving.

“There’s an age limit on supercars of 30 plus. Under 30s are not getting one.”

The business owner charges from £450-a-day for an Audi R8 to around £1,500-a-day for a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.

There is also a £1,000 security deposit to pay on top of the hire fee but this is re-paid in full if there are no “scratches or dents”.

Kad says the insurance excess is £5,000 which punters will have to pay in case of major damage.

He added: “All the cars are tracked, the moment a vehicle speeds, I will get an alert.

“We try to protect our assets as best as much as we can.”

Kad works with other companies to source specific supercars for weddings and glitzy events.

On a daily basis, he says punters usually request Audi Q7s, BMW 3 series and Mercedes C Class vehicles.

He explained: “The cars are wanted for random reasons like they are going on a date, business meetings and seeing relatives.

“My Audi Q7 is a 4X4, seven-seater and it’s convenient for airport runs.

“Our number one popular car is the Audi R8 and Range Rover. The Audi R8 drives like a normal car but is a supercar.”

Kad set up the business eight months ago and is hoping to branch out by taking his motors to schools and letting kids pose with them for prom.

He recently hit the headlines after he led a £10million procession of supercars for a wedding in Birmingham.

The impressive collection included Lamborghini Huracans, Aventadors and Urus, Ferrari 488 Spiders and Pistas, McLaren 720s and a Range Rover SVR.

There were also ten Rolls Royces – six Phantoms and four Ghosts – as well as two Mercedes, an SLS gullwing and an E63 S.

Groom Kasim Ali drove a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ worth a cool £350,000.

Kad said: “We had them all lined up in Floodgate Street.

“Usually we might hire four at most. But this was a scene from Fast & Furious. It didn’t feel like we were in Birmingham.”
