A HEALTHCARE worker has claimed she bumped into a patient she tested for Covid-19 just hours before while out shopping – despite that woman’s positive test result.
In a viral TikTok video posted last week, the healthcare worker claimed that she had told the woman to “stay home and rest.”

The video shows the worker still in her scrubs and wearing a mask as she waits in line at the store in an unidentified part of the US.
TikTok user @eliicoco is seen rolling her eyes and shaking her head before turning the camera on the woman.
“When you see the patient that you swabbed earlier who tested positive for Covid in the line at Ross.”
Vaccine effectiveness & Omicron
Expert studies have shown that the risk of severe illness from Covid-19 is reduced by 90 percent or more among people who are fully vaccinated.
While there are breakthrough cases of Covid among people who are vaccinated, they are rare.
In the event of a breakthrough case, victims are highly unlikely to be hospitalized with severe or deadly symptoms from the virus.
Health officials have advised that the Omicron variant is more infectious and could lead to further breakthrough cases.
Yet the spread can be offset by all vaccinated Americans receiving a booster shot.
Current vaccines are expected to protect against severe illness, hospitalizations, and deaths due to infection with the Omicron variant.
With other variants, like Delta, vaccines have remained effective at preventing severe illness, hospitalizations, and death.
Studies have also shown that side effects from the vaccine are extremely rare.

“I told you to stay home and rest, sis,” she added, zooming into an individual in line with a shopping cart, wearing black leggings and pink sneakers.
It is unclear whether the patient was vaccinated and she was not identified by the healthcare worker.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, the COVID-19 vaccine has a 95 percent effectiveness rate at preventing laboratory-confirmed infection in individuals who have received both doses.
Users in the comments section slammed the woman for not isolating after her positive test.
“And this is why it will NEVER GO AWAY,” wrote one user.
“I’ve given up on people having common sense, morals, and a conscience,” wrote another.
In December, the CDC shortened the recommended quarantine time to just five days for individuals who no longer display Covid symptoms.
However, patients with positive cases must still quarantine for at least five days and continue to wear a mask even after that period has lapsed.
On Tuesday, President Joe Biden gave an update on the national fight against Covid, while also stressing the importance of vaccines, booster shots, testing, and masks.
He reminded Americans that they could help save lives using those measures.
“We are making improvements,” President Biden claimed about testing capacity after issues nationwide with access to tests.
He added that at-home testing is starting this month with kits being issued to those who register online.
The speech comes as the president’s disapproval rating hit a new high this week.
A CNBC poll found 56 percent disapprove of the job he is doing as he nears the end of his first year in the Oval Office.
