I own classic Ferraris worth £6M – can you spot why my new ones are different?
A FERRARI collector who owns classics worth £6million has purchased two more – but with a difference.
Dutch collector Mr. Grouwels has a Ferrari F40, F50 and Enzo amongst his collection, but now has two tiny additions.
The cars are made by British firm The Little Car Company, who make small electric versions of iconic classic cars.
But these aren’t toys, adults can drive them at 50mph and they are officially licensed by carmakers like Ferrari, Aston Martin and Bugatti.
The latest model on offer is called the Ferrari Testa Rossa J – an electric, 75% scale replica of its famous namesake which won the 1958 Le Mans 24 Hours.
Mr Gouwels likes it so much he’s ordered two, one in stunning maroon and yellow and one with no paint on it at all.
Mr Grouwels said: “The cars have been driving excellently and have been great additions to my collection.
“These liveries immediately stood out for me, and they both look outstanding.
“To own a unique Ferrari licensed model like this was an absolute must for my collection.”
The cars are part of a limited run of 299 Testa Rossa Js being delivered to customers right now.
The attention to detail on the tiny Testa Rossas is incredible, with things like the suspension geometry, paint colours and dials matched to the original 1958 car.
The J can be charged from a domestic plug and has a 55-mile range, plus various driving modes that change how much power goes to the rear wheels.
Ben Hedley, CEO of The Little Car Company, said: “The commencement of Ferrari Testa Rossa J deliveries is a huge milestone for The Little Car Company.
“We are pleased to see customers, like Mr Grouwels immediately enjoy them as intended.”
