I live in a cul-de-sac but my neighbour is using it as their personal car park

COMBINE bad parking, neighbours and an inability to talk it through and you’re sure to find trouble.

That is exactly the case for this Reddit user who posted their woes online asking people what they should do.

POG_Theif said: “I live in a quiet cul-de-sac but a new neighbour has started using the turning area as a driveway extension.

“They have 3 cars and a van blocking the turning area completely, when regular visitors turn up including someone with a 7.5t camper van this extends out blocking half the road as well but not access to anyone else’s property.

“They aren’t reasonable to talk to!”

The naughty neighbour’s constant bad parking caused other drives to have to turn around in POG_Theif’s driveway.

The Reddit user went on: “Mine and my neighbour’s drives have now become the default turning space, my neighbour’s property has already been damaged and I want to avoid it happening to me.

“It also makes getting my car out a PIA if anyone is parked on the road.

But POG_Thief points out that there is little they can do about the situation and ask others for their take on what to do.

“Parking in a turning space isn’t actually illegal so nothing I can do there but would I have any luck requesting double yellows?

“It has to go to the council sponsored by an MP so wondering if anyone had had any luck doing something similar when it only affects a handful of people?

“Or too much hassle and should content myself changing the router name to something passive aggressive?”

Other Reddit users took to the comments to give their opinion on what to do.

Lucky_1979 said: “Unfortunately there’s pretty much nothing you can do about it other than speaking to them. Just got to try and be polite and reasonable with them.”

While spaceshipcommander suggested: “Put a huge boulder on each corner of your property.

“Make it incredibly difficult for anyone to turn round so they don’t do it anymore.”
