I bought a car on Facebook Marketplace and was shocked at its real condition
A DRIVER who purchased a Nissan 240SX on Facebook Marketplace was shocked at the actual condition of the car when he took a closer look.
The Japanese sports car appeared to be in reasonable condition, finished in black, with wheels and tyres in fine fettle.
The average price of a second-hand 240SX model is around £13,000, which hopefully the poster didn’t pay.
However, when TikTok user @randy_jz got the car home things quickly began to unravel.
The video shows the poster removing what appears to be plastic panels which covered a horrific body of rust and filler.
The video offers a lesson on what to possibly expect if you buy something without seeing it in person first.
The Nissan 240SX is a sports compact car that although no longer being produced, still remains popular in drifting and tuning culture – which may explain the condition of the car.
Because of its popularity in drifting and similar competitions, the 240SX is featured in various racing video games such as Midnight Club and Forza Motorsport.
Comments on the post were mixed.
One said: “Did you expect better? ???? these things got turned into drift cars. They got run thru more then a street….well you know
Another commented: “When you don’t inspect a car before you give away your money.”
A third pointed out: “My 240 was pretty good…to be honest, overfenders are like fender flares on a pickup….always hiding something.’
A fourth was more positive and said: “Still an easy fix and a gorgeous car.”
