The recruitment drive aims to fill 30 vacant positions of Section Officer, with a pay scale of Rs 10,300-34,800+ (GP 5000). The HPPSC Section Officer exam was conducted on February 26, 2023, in a single session from 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM, as part of the Himachal Pradesh Finance and Accounts Service (HPF&AS) Examination-2022. The online registration for the exam took place from September 12 to October 4, 2022.
Candidates who have qualified the Preliminary exam will soon be invited to register for the Main exam. It is advised that candidates regularly visit the official website for updates and important notifications regarding the registration process.
Selected candidates are required to submit the printout/hard copy of their online application, along with the necessary documents such as self-attested copies of the Matriculation certificate (for Age Proof), Bachelor’s Degree/consolidated Detailed Marks Certificate, Category Certificate, NOC (No Objection Certificate), etc. The application form, along with the required documents, must be submitted within 15 days from the date of result declaration, which is until July 26, 2023.
Furthermore, candidates are also required to deposit the examination fee (Rs. 400/- for General category and General Ortho Physically Handicapped, and Rs. 100/- for SC, ST, and OBC categories of H.P.) through a bank draft payable to the Secretary, H.P. Public Service Commission, Shimla. It is important to note that the examination fee is non-refundable, even if the application is rejected for any reason by the Commission.
The selection process for the Section Officer position includes a preliminary exam and a main exam. Candidates whose roll numbers are mentioned in the result list have qualified for the main exam and will proceed further in the selection process.
