How World Test Championship ranking is calculated? India slips to No. 2, Pakistan at top
The current WTC cycle runs from June 2023 to June 2025 and comprises the top nine Test teams, all of whom will play six series each – three at home and three away. The top two teams will compete in the ICC World Test Championship Final.

Other teams are yet to have already featured in the new 2023-25 World Test Championship cycle.
WTC points system
A team gets 12 points for winning a match, four for a draw and six for a tie. Teams will be ranked on percentage of points won. (12 points for a win means 100 percentage points, for tie (6 points) it is 50 percentage points and for draw (4 points) it is 33.3 percentage points. For loss, there is no points.)
On the other hand, there is a penalty for slow over rate. For slow over-rates teams will lose one championship point for each over short.
