How to update your Android after Google rolls out ‘critical’ warning to millions
GOOGLE has patched up a raft of cyber vulnerabilities hiding inside its Play store.
However, the tech behemoth has refrained from detailing how the security holes were exploited.
Five cyber vulnerabilities were found within Google Play, Google’s online store, where Android users download apps, games and other entertainment.
Users must update their Android devices immediately to make sure they’re protected against these cyber gaps.
Google Pixel devices are typically among the first Android devices to receive security updates.
Other Android owners might need to wait a few days for their phone manufacturer to release the security patch designed specifically for their device.
Updates usually don’t get installed automatically on Android devices.
So, users will have to check the updates option in Settings to run a manual check.
How do I check for an update on my Android?
- Open your phone’s Settings app.
