What is the Laver Cup?

The Laver Cup was founded in 2017 by Roger Federer’s management company and is designed to be tennis’ version of Golf’s Ryder Cup, with Team Europe playing against Team World

Six European players face six players from the rest of the world across nine singles matches and three doubles matches.

Points are awarded to the winners of each match, with the first team to claim 13 points winning the Laver Cup.

Europe have won every installment of the Laver Cup since it’s introduction onto the ATP calendar.

Team Europe will be managed by 11-time Grand Slam champion Bjorn Borg, and Team World will be coached by Bjorg’s long-time rival John McEnroe.
