Hotel guest horrified after ordering £14 flatbread pizza from room service
A MAN was left horrified after paying $18 (£14) for a hotel pizza – and it didn’t look anything like the picture.
The guest shared the image on Reddit, which left other people just as shocked.
The image showed a picture in the room service menu of a pizza with mozzarella, tomato and basil, along with a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
However, what he was served had no tomato sauce, or glaze or basil – and was just a piece of bread with a bit of cheese.
There were a few small tomatoes placed on top as well, with some mysterious greenery on it too.
He wrote: “The picture of the flatbread pizza on the online menu vs what was delivered. Room Service in an expensive Chicago hotel.
“This happened last night around 9:30pm.
“I was recovering from the worst hangover of my life and had to catch an Uber to the airport at 4am.”
One person said: “I hope you didn’t pay for that s***.”
Another added: “This is a pizza crime.”
One person who claims to be a chef said: “Dude, as a chef I‘d be ashamed to let some crap like this leave the kitchen.”
Some people shamed him for ordering room service pizza when being in Chicago, known for their amazing pizzas, to which the poster replied he was too hungover to go outside.
Others said he needed to get his money back: “Besides the fact that you deserve a refund, the general manager absolutely needs to know about this. It is completely unacceptable.”
A former hotel worker has revealed why you should never eat the eggs at a buffet.
And you should skip the pastries at the hotel buffet too.
It isn’t just hotels either – an easyJet passenger was stunned after paying £5 for “worst airline food ever”.
