Horse snares $10 million victory in a thriller

I Wish I Win has been granted his wish, clinching victory in the $10 million Golden Eagle at Sydney’s Rosehill Racecourse on Saturday afternoon.

The New Zealand horse, trained by Peter Moody and jockeyed by Luke Nolen, shot into the lead with about 200 metres remaining in the 1500-metre race, before staving off a tenacious effort by Fangirl in an enthralling finish.

Gypsy Goddess finished in third, Hope In Your Heart collected fourth and Hinged grabbed fifth.

Moody and Nolen famously combined with legendary mare Black Caviar.
