‘Horrible scenes’ in wild Bledisloe Cup clash
There are fears that the Wallabies could be without captain Allan Alaalatoa at this year’s Rugby World Cup after the prop was carted off the MCG with what looked to be a serious leg injury.
Alaalatoa was caught awkwardly in a scrum in the first half of a wild Bledisloe Cup clash on Saturday and the prop looked distraught as he left the field.
“It sounds like Allan Alaalatoa might have ruptured his Achilles,” Tim Horan said on Stan Sport.

Taniela Tupou replaced Alaalatoa at prop while Tate McDermott took over as skipper.
“These are horrible scenes, particularly in a World Cup year for the captain,” Sean Maloney added.
The All Blacks led the Wallabies 19-7 at halftime.
