Holly Willoughby forced to miss This Morning this week amid horror illness
The ITV daytime presenter, 42, took to Instagram on Sunday to tell her fans that she has been diagnosed with Singles.
The infection is a painful condition caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox. Anyone can get it, but it’s most common in older people.
Holly penned via Instagram Stories: ‘Hi, just to let you know, I may be away for the rest of the week as I have Shingles.’
‘I’ll be back as soon as I’m better. Huge love.’
Phillip Schofield and co-star Holly present the popular daytime programme from Monday to Thursday, with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary hosting every Friday.
It has not yet been announced who will be covering Holly over the next few days.
The presenter recently took some time off for Easter break, with Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle stepping into front This Morning.
According to reports, Phil will return to the show tomorrow [ Monday, April 17].
The host has been absent from the daytime television programme during his brother’s trial.
Timothy Schofield was found guilty on Monday at Exeter Crown Court of sexually abusing a teenage boy over a period of three years.
Following the verdict, Phil issued a statement and said he ‘no longer’ has a brother.
A source confirmed to Metro.co.uk that Phil is on pre-planned leave.
During the programme on Monday, March 27, Holly introduced her new co-star as Alison without explaining her usual partner’s disappearing act.
She did inform viewers that: ‘Phillip is having the week off so all the adults have left the building’.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
