Holidays next summer at risk – Britons told to get booster jab to travel abroad next year

Britons may think they have been fully jabbed after two doses of Covid vaccine. However, travel requirements are constantly evolving, warned Care Minister Gillian Keegan.

“It would be unreasonable to say right now when we’ve only just started the programme, we’re trying to get this balance.

“It’s two doses for now.

“But as the vaccine passport concept will evolve there will be ‘if you’ve had your booster’ because it’s probably not going to be good for next summer.”

This comes as Health Secretary Sajid Javid warned Britons the Government may have to impose more restrictions on daily life if more people do not come forward for their third dose of Covid vaccine.

DON’T MISS

The Government’s Plan B includes mask wearing, a return to work from home and the introduction of vaccine passports.

For now, however, all these restrictions are only warnings.

There will not be another lockdown for Christmas, according to the Government.

The booster jab campaign is underway and Britons are being offered a third shot of the Covid vaccine.

They can travel to many countries without the need for testing.

Some European countries such as France require visitors to either be fully jabbed or show a negative Covid test.

They also require vaccine passports.

The vaccine passport concept has already been implemented in Wales and Scotland.

It is part of the Government’s Plan B for England.
