A ‘leaked’ cut scene from the Resident Evil 4 remake shows President Joe Biden giving Leon his pre-mission briefing.
While the remake of Resident Evil 4 has changed and added quite a bit compared to the original, it’s still the same basic story, with Leon S. Kennedy tasked with rescuing the president’s daughter from an evil cult.
To coincide with the game’s launch, an animator has put together their take on how his initial briefing, only hinted at in the main game, might have gone.
Except it replaces Resident Evil’s fictional president with current real-life US president Joe Biden.
Created by YouTube animator and Twitch streamer Aamon Hawk, under the guise of a leaked cut scene from the remake, the video involves Biden tasking Leon with rescuing his daughter from a ‘f***ing wizard.’
What makes it extra funny is that Biden actually does have a daughter named Ashley, the same name as the president’s daughter in Resident Evil 4.
Leon is depicted as being a little more deranged than he is in the game, with him promising to kill every villager he comes across, be they man, woman, or child.
Although that’s not actually that different from what he does in the game (except there are no children and the people are mind-controlled).
That’s also obviously not Biden voicing himself, as the video makes use of an AI voice generator to replicate Biden’s voice – which is pretty creepy/impressive in its own right.
The tech has become increasingly popular as of late and has been used to replicate the likes of Donald Trump and Joe Rogan, to show them saying things they otherwise wouldn’t.
A quick glance at Aamon Hawk’s YouTube channel shows they’ve made similar animated shorts, though their Resident Evil one has quickly become their most popular.
