Hideo Kojima’s Upcoming “Smaller” Project Reportedly For PSVR 2
Alongside the likely release of Death Stranding 2, Kojima Productions may also be working on a “smaller” title designed specifically for Sony’s upcoming PSVR 2.
It was recently revealed at the beginning of this year that Hideo Kojima is working on a new AAA title, as well as a smaller project that wouldn’t be open world or a shooter.
Many have speculated that Kojima’s next AAA title would be a sequel to the hugely popular Death Stranding. Especially considering Norman Reedus, the lead protagonist in Death Stranding, went on record to IGN Brasil last year and said “I think we’re doing a second Death Stranding”.
As for the “smaller” project that Kojima is working on, it has remained a bit of a mystery, until now.

Kojima Productions Possibly Working On PSVR 2 Title
According to Twitter user Oops Leaks, who previously shared a large amount of information on the currently unconfirmed Bioshock 4, Hideo Kojima could be working on a new VR game/experience.
The leaker claims that they have received information that Kojima’s upcoming VR project would be in collaboration with award-winning virtual reality expert and storyteller, Celine Tricart.
Celine has previously worked on multiple Transformer movies, as well as directing Lapse of Time and The Key. Interestingly enough, one eagle-eyed Reddit user also noted that Hideo Kojima does follow her on Twitter. This might not sound like much, but Kojima certainly keeps the number of accounts he follows to a minimal, only following 204 people whilst having a massive 3.1 million followers.

Kojima has also previously gone on record to express his interest in virtual reality. Back in 2019, Kojima joined Rocket Beans Gaming and was asked about his experiences with the PSVR and said “I want to create something that you don’t get 3D motion sickness with but for VR, I’m really interested in it”.
Kojima creating a VR horror game would be a huge selling point for the PSVR 2, would this be a good reason to buy the new VR headset? Let us know in the comments section down below.
