Manchester United supporters have been reacting to reports that their club are in the race for Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni.
The 23-year-old has been tipped by some to follow in the footsteps of Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini in becoming an Italian great. He helped to keep 20 clean sheets last season after lifting the title the season prior.
The defender is reportedly in talks with Tottenham, who are managed by his former Inter boss Antonio Conte. The Italy international joined Inter from Atalanta in 2017 for £28m but is now thought to be worth at least double that amount.

Bastoni’s contract still has two years left to run after he penned an extension in May 2021. Nevertheless, it seems he could be on his way to England this summer, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
United fans were quick to react to the reports, with some comparing Bastoni to United target Jurrien Timber. They took to Twitter to cast their verdict.
