On day one, she chose to be styled in Sabyasachi from head-to-toe for both the opening ceremony as well as her morning look. She opted for a retro look for the latter, which featured a black and gold sequin saree. The entire bodice of the saree was decked up in block-printed stripes and exquisite embroidered craftsmanship. As she took to social media to share a new set of pictures of this look, she mentioned a statement by the ace designer Sabyasachi that she agrees with. She shared, “The sari is a story I will never stop telling. No matter where we are in the world, it has its place,” said Sabyasachi Mukherjee…and I couldn’t agree more!”
