Here’s Boney Kapoor’s reaction to Khushi Kapoor’s debut project with Zoya Akhtar

This week we heard an exciting piece of news about Khushi Kapoor and Suhana Khan making their debut with Zoya Akhtar. Apparently the filmmaker is going to make a project based on Archies comics and Khushi will play the rich and fashionista Veronica and Suhana will play the simple and grounded girl Betty. However while no one has confirmed anything about this yet, E Times got a chance to speak to Boney Kapoor and know more whether his daughter Khushi Kapoor is doing the film or not. Boney Kapoor said, “I don’t know anything about this. I don’t know what you are talking about.” Now we wonder if there is seriously any truth to the project?

Boney Kapoor earlier this year had confirmed that Khushi is ready to face the cameras. He said he won’t launch his daughter and will leave it to her daughter to earn her first film. Meanwhile the Zoya Akhtar helmed Archie comics adaptation has found the leading man too. Rumours are rife that Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson – Agastya Nanda (Shweta and Nikhil Nanda’s son) will be the leading face. Some even suggest that Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan might be the lead. Now we wonder what’s the truth and which are the real stories, but whatever it is, the story and casting is so interesting we would love to read more about it.

Netflix has already adapted the Archies comics as Riverdale. The series was dark and gothic unlike the easy breezy comics. We don’t know what Zoya Akhtar has been planning. Watch this space for more news on the same.
