Heidi Klum’s daughter Leni defends joint lingerie shoot over ‘weird’ criticism
Heidi Klum’s daughter, Leni, has addressed the criticism over their joint lingerie shoot, after some branded the photos ‘weird’.
The supermodel, 49, and her eldest child, 18, were unveiled as the new faces of Intimissimi last month, and modelled the brand’s Pretty Flower collection in pictures and an advert.
Although the photos are stunning, some fans weren’t impressed, describing the mother-daughter shoot as ‘disturbing’.
However, speaking at her mom’s annual Halloween party, the teenager insisted that she isn’t that fussed about the reaction as she was delighted by how their campaign turned out.
‘I honestly didn’t look at a lot of the reactions,’ she said. ‘I am overall happy with the campaign and I had an amazing day with my mom. I think the photos turned out great, and we had an amazing time.
‘If I don’t look at it, I don’t have to pay any attention to it, so I just don’t know what is there.
‘I had an amazing day, an amazing shoot, it’s out, I love it.’
Reflecting on working side-by-side with her mom, who has commanded countless catwalks and campaigns in her successful career, Leni couldn’t have more praise for the fashion icon.
‘I love her. She’s an inspiration. Just the advice she gives me, the way she works, everything about her, I can go on and on,’ she added. ‘I love shooting with her.’
Heidi and Leni unveiled their shoot for Intimissimi just a few weeks ago and looked predictably incredible in the intimate photos.
‘Intimissimi steps forward with a new campaign starring the stunning Heidi Klum and her eldest daughter Leni as icons of self-confidence, joy of life and love between a mother and daughter,’ a spokesperson for the brand said in a statement.
‘Together Heidi and Leni show that Intimissimi is a brand for all women. Regardless of age, fit and style.
‘The two represent the strong bond between mother and daughter, but also unconditional love, friendship and support.’
Heidi previously shared her pride that Leni was following in her footsteps and carving out a modelling career of her own.
‘I’m so proud of you. And it’s not because you’ve chosen your own path. I know, that no matter which path you were to go down, you would be your own woman,’ the Making the Cut host penned in a heartfelt message on Instagram.
‘You always know exactly what you want and what you don’t want. You are my little mini me. And I’m so happy for you, that you now know who YOU are.
‘Even when it’s a little hard for me to let you go off into the world, I will always do everything for you to be happy and fulfill your dreams. I am so proud to be your mama.’
