HEATHROW has warned that Brits should expect more flight caps – and that the travel problems could continue into 2024.
The airport is currently limiting their daily flights to 100,000, down from 104,000.

While this was initially to last until September, it was extended to October last week.
However, it is now feared that flight caps could be brought in again next year.
Heathrow boss John Holland-Kaye said: “It’s absolutely possible that we could have another summer with a cap still in place.
“It’s going to take 12 to 18 months, and not just at Heathrow. This is not going to be a quick fix.”
His comments come after the boss blamed passengers for the long queues, citing reasons such as packing too much make up and requesting wheelchairs to skip the queues.
He told LBC: “They have got more bags, and more liquids in their bags so that takes a little bit longer.
“A lot of people are put off from checking in all of their make-up for example because they are worried about whether their bag will make the journey with them.”
He also slammed the TikTok trend of asking for wheelchairs at the airport to be able to skip the queues, saying it was the “wrong thing to be doing”.
And airlines were also blamed for not hiring enough ground handlers to manage the planes, leading to the cap in flights.
The travel chaos isn’t expected to end anytime soon as strike action is also causing problems.
Ryanair and easyJet staff confirmed a number of strikes in Spain, while Lufthansa was forced to cancel hundreds of flights due to strikes across Germany.
And nearly all British Airways flights are at risk as pilots are threatening to walk out this summer.

It’s not just flights either – Brits have been warned of more travel chaos as the Channel Tunnel crumbled under the pressure of high demand, dubbed the “hotspot of holiday hell” as vehicles were backed up bumper to bumper.
Holidaymakers reported delays of seven hours at Dover this weekend, while the BBC said one man had been waiting to make the crossing for “30 hours”.
