Heart Evangelista’s ex-makeup artist says their friendship has been ‘tried and tested’
Celebrity makeup artist Albert Kurniawan vouched for Heart Evangelista’s character saying their 20-year friendship has been “tried and tested” through time.
Kurniawan, who served as Evangelista’s makeup artist for several years, made the affirmation on his Instagram Stories amid reports of the actress’ falling out with her previous glam team.
According to the Manila-based Indonesian artist, he remained close to Evangelista even though their professional partnership has already ended. He was replying to a follower’s question about their friendship last Sunday, July 30.
“Paulit-ulit ‘yung gantong tanong lol (I always receive these questions). Of course we are still friends! This was taken last Saturday [at] my party,” he said, while sharing a photo of himself with Evangelista. The posts have since expired, as of this writing.
“Wala man kami appearance (Even if we don’t make an appearance) recently, pero we keep in touch from time to time. Kanya-kanyang life lang kami (We have our own lives) plus I have to work at the office most of the time,” he continued.
Kurniawan, founder of the successful makeup line Teviant, also said he considers his two–year friendship with the “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon” star as something worth keeping, as seen in a separate Instagram Stories.
“20 years!!! Tried and tested!” he said.
In response to a follower inquiring about the recent controversy surrounding Evangelista and her former glam team, Kurniawan pointed out that the actress-socialite is “selfless.”
“All I know is that she has a good heart and she is selfless,” he wrote.
The makeup artist’s remarks came days after Evangelista’s former makeup artist Justin Louise Soriano denied rumors that the actress fired her previous glam team, including him, due to them allegedly maxing out her credit card.
While the actress-socialite has yet to address the allegations, an old video of herself making a cryptic remark towards someone who had credit card loans to pay. EDV
