HBO’s The Last of Us Shows Joel in an Epic Fight Scene
Things are really heating up in HBO’s The Last of Us with new footage of Joel getting into some serious action scenes.
What goes on in HBO’s The Last of Us has probably been the internet’s worst kept secret. No matter what’s been happening on set, you can be sure someone is taking pictures or videos and we are here for it all.
Over the last few months, we have seen everything from Tess, Joel and Ellie walking around Seattle, a first look at the dreaded Cordyceps fungus and also what Jackson will look like in the show. Now a new piece of footage has appeared that shows Joel (Pedro Pascal) getting into a pretty gnarly fistfight.
In the video taken by Charlotte and posted by The Last of Us Updates on Twitter, we see Joel run up on someone and then push them straight into a tree. After a bit of a tussle, it looks as though Joel, aka Pedro Pascal, grabs them by the neck in a chokehold before throwing their lifeless body on the dusty ground.
Although uncertain, to the right of the footage it looks as though Ellie (Bella Ramsey) is standing watch by a cart. When it’s all over, she runs over to someone, maybe Tommy? It’s unfortunately not really clear enough to judge with accuracy but to me, it looks like Ellie had her hands tied behind her back for a while. Regardless, it sure does look really exciting.
Another short video has cropped up that shows Joel and Ellie riding around the University on horseback. This scene harks back to one of the many locations in the game, The University of Eastern Colorado, which was formerly the Fireflies’ base of operations before they fled to Salt Lake City in Utah.
Although we don’t have a firm release date for HBO’s The Last of Us, we do know that it should showcase next year at some stage. In the meantime, I’m sure fans will be treated to plenty more of these behind the scenes images and videos.
