It’s a scene that any self-respecting rom com fan knows well.

The oh-so-romantic moment in Notting Hill when Will and Anna take an evening stroll and break into a secret garden.

From the iconic ‘whoopsidaises’, to Ronan Keating chiming in just as the pair finally kiss, the communal green space is the perfect backdrop to their blossoming love story.

Ever since, the locked gardens around London have held a magical enigma in the imaginations of anyone who isn’t lucky enough to have a key.

But next weekend you could have your own Notting Hill moment, as more than 100 of these hidden gems – including the film’s Rosemead Garden – will be open to the public, as part of the London Open Gardens initiative.

The event runs on the 10th and 11th of June (Picture: Universal Pictures)

The event is run by the London Parks and Gardens charity – an organisation that promotes and protects London’s precious green spaces.

Running on 10th and 11th June, over 100 gated parks, squares, community allotments and roof terraces will open their doors to visitors.

Not only that, but you can enjoy the views alongside historic themed tours, bike rides and other fun activities over the two days.

This year, seven new locations are open to the public – such as the rewilded OmVed Gardens in Highgate which is full of stunning wildflower meadows and vegetable patches.

Other gardens to check out are the 17th century Kitchen Garden at Chiswick House and Eversheds Sutherland Vegetable garden.

Tickets come at £20 for an adult, and it gives you access to as many gardens as you wish to visit.
